The Lakers will be hosted by the Warriors on the opening night of the NBA

The 2022-23 NBA season is around the corner and the Golden State Warriors will play host to the Lakers and LeBron James. This will mark a start to this year's NBA championship. The Warriors are preparing for the upcoming season but most of their schedule is still not revealed. However, the opening night rival team has been announced officially. The first match between the two teams will be held on October 18 at the Chase Center. 

This is the second consecutive year that the warriors will be playing against the Lakers on the opening night of the NBA. Last season, we witnessed that the Lakers were defeated by the Golden State 114-121 in Los Angeles. Stephen Curry secured 21 points and 10 assists for his side while James managed to clinch 34 points, 5 assists and 11 rebounds.
