The Miami Heat announced on Thursday that they have signed Caleb Daniels from their G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, to an Exhibit 10 contract. This deal allows Daniels to participate in the Heat’s training camp, where he will compete for a two-way contract. Daniels, who went undrafted in 2023 after graduating from Villanova, joined Miami's Summer League team but was waived before the 2023-24 season. In October 2023, he linked up with the Skyforce.
Daniels' basketball journey began at St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, where he averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds as a senior, leading his team to the Division I semifinals. He earned All-Metro and second-team all-state honors. After committing to Tulane, Daniels showcased his talent by averaging 16.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists as a sophomore. He later transferred to Villanova, overcoming health challenges like COVID-19 and myocarditis.
