Thomas Sorber, Thunder’s rookie, will miss the entire season

After tearing his ACL and requiring surgery, Thomas Sorber, the Oklahoma City Thunder's No. 15 choice in the NBA Draft last June, will miss his entire rookie season, the organization confirmed. The injury occurred when Sorber was working out in Oklahoma City. Due to a foot ailment that curtailed his Georgetown season early, he was unable to participate in Summer League this year. During his one season in college, Sorber averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Hoyas. Even though the 6'10" big man would have played a limited role this season on a loaded Oklahoma City team. Oklahoma City's top selection will miss his rookie season for the third time in four years because of a serious injury. Due to a foot ailment, Chet Holmgren missed his debut season in 2022–2023. Like Sorbert, Nikola Topic had an ACL rupture last season that kept him out of action for the whole season.
