Timberwolves defeated the Houston Rockets 113–112

At the Toyota Centre in Houston, the team defeated the Houston Rockets 113–112 on Friday night when Edwards made the game-winning 3-pointer from the left elbow with 23 seconds left, Fred VanVleet missed a 3-pointer on the other end, and Edwards, appropriately, pulled down the last rebound. Even more amazing is the fact that, with three minutes remaining, the Wolves were down by ten.

After falling down by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter, it was Minnesota's biggest comeback since 2003. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who was doubtful going into the game because of sickness, opened the late-game comeback with a three-pointer that reduced the score to 110-103 with two minutes and thirty-six seconds left.  Naz Reid cleaned up his own miss to make it a five-point game. Edwards got to the rim for a layup. Julius Randle threw down a dunk to cut the deficit to one.
