Adelaide Strikers beats Sydney Thunder to keep titles hopes alive

Adelaide Strikers will confront Sydney Sixers on Wednesday now for a spot in the last match of the season and face Perth Scorchers after beating Thunder by six runs. Adelaide Strikers kept their Big Bash title hopes buzzing with a sensational knockout triumph that closes out Sydney Thunder's season.

Harry Conway effectively guarded 14 runs in the last over giving away just seven runs. Ian Cockbain starred once more with his knock of 65 off only 38 balls to hand Jason Gillespie's side one more success in the current campaign. Travis Head and Alex Carey lacked their usual charm with the bat, Carey made 23 runs contribution while Head fell cheaply. Thunder’s Tanveer Sangha made matters worse surrendering only 15 runs in his four overs.
