Bangladesh took down Papua New Guinea with 84 runs

Bangladesh moves to the next round in T20 World Cup to join the likes of England, South Africa, West Indies, and Australia. Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim carried the team to the Super 12 stage with a big win over Papua New Guinea. The all-rounder Al Hasan helped the team seal the final win over Papua New Guinea after the Tigers lost the opening match to Scotland and then thrashed Oman later.

Bangladesh's Nurul Hasan performed well to give a boost to the net run rate and help the team qualify for the next round. Bangladesh put up a score of 181 for seven in their allotted 20 overs with Mohammad Naim’s 50 in 28 balls, Al Hasan’s 46 in 37, and Lifon Das’ 29 in 23. PNG’s chase started promisingly but later Al Hasan’s brilliant effort with 4-9 off in his four overs PNG were struggling with 29-7 and later on were dismissed at 97 as Bangladesh celebrated a victory in the background.
