Cremer back for Zimbabwe’s Namibia challenge

Graeme Cremer has been recalled to Zimbabwe’s squad for the T20I tri-series in Namibia, marking his return from a left‑arm injury that sidelined him during home assignments against Bangladesh and India. The experienced legspinner last appeared in the T20 World Cup’s Super Eights against South Africa earlier this year. Sikandar Raza leads a 15‑player group that also features uncapped quick Kundai Matigimu, who has played only 11 T20s but made his Test debut in last year’s one‑off match against South Africa.

Zimbabwe will be without ODI and Test captain Richard Ngarava, recovering from a lower back issue, and Tanaka Chivanga, who recently underwent surgery for an achilles tendon injury. The tri-series format sees each team face the others twice before the top two advance to the final. Zimbabwe open their campaign against South Africa on August 29, followed by a meeting with hosts Namibia two days later.
