In a postponed IPL 2023 Final, Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets. With this win CSK won their fifth championship, tying the record held by Mumbai Indians (MI), thanks in part to a dramatic comeback managed by Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 championship game.
With 10 runs needed from the final two deliveries during the rain-interrupted last-ball thriller against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad, Jadeja launched a potent six and a four off Mohit Sharma, guiding MS Dhoni and his team to a stunning 5-wicket triumph against the reigning champions. Chennai put forth a tremendous team effort in their pursuit of a revised 171-run target in 15 overs. With his blazing 47 off just 25 balls, Devon Conway played a key part in the chase and laid the groundwork for the team. Ajinkya Rahane (27) and Shivam Dube, who finished unbroken on 32, both made contributions that helped pave the way for Jadeja's heroics and CSK’s emphatic win.
