India beat England in the 2022 ICC U-19 World Cup final

India won the U-19 Cricket World Cup for the record fifth time in Antigua after defeating England by four wickets in the final of the 2022 edition, thanks to an outstanding all-round performance by Raj Angad Bawa. Bawa, who was born in Chandigarh, first took a five-wicket haul (5/31) to help India bowl out England for just 189 runs, and then made a crucial 35 runs down the order to help India reach the mark with 2.2 overs to spare.

After winning the toss, England chose to bat, but India bowled them out in 44.5 overs, with pacer Bawa (4/34) and Ravi Kumar (4/34) sharing nine wickets between them. The victory is particularly significant for Yash Dhull and his team because they overcame all odds to win in the Caribbean.
