Lucknow Super Giants makes a splendid comeback

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) suffered their second consecutive loss in the Indian Premier League 2024 after falling 21 runs short of their mark against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). But the loss of Bairstow resulted in a massive top-order collapse, with Punjab Kings falling from 102-0 to 141-5 in only five overs. Against Punjab Kings, Mayank Yadav, making his debut in the league, spearheaded his team's comeback by taking three crucial wickets, including those of Bairstow and Jitesh Sharma. Shikhar Dhawan will now captain his Punjab Kings team for their next IPL 2024 matchup against Gujarat Titans, having been battered and wounded in Lucknow.
