Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by nine wickets

India captain Rohit Sharma delivered a match-winning performance, scoring an unbeaten 76 off just 45 balls—his highest score of the season—as Mumbai chased down a target of 177 in only 15.3 overs at the Wankhede Stadium. Coming in as an impact substitute, Rohit opened the innings with Ryan Rickelton and added a solid 63-run stand before Rickelton was dismissed for 24 by debutant Ayush Mhatre. Suryakumar Yadav then joined Rohit and played a blistering knock of 68 from just 30 deliveries.

Their unbroken 114-run partnership sealed a comfortable win for Mumbai. Earlier, Chennai had a promising start with 17-year-old Mhatre scoring a quick 32 off 15 balls, but the team faltered to 63-3. Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja added 79 runs for the fourth wicket. Jasprit Bumrah's double strike, including Dhoni’s wicket, restricted Chennai to a below-par total.
