Mumbai Indians taste their eighth loss in IPL 2022

The five-time Indian Premier League champions have plunged into an emergency mode after their eighth loss in the tournament. With an objective of 169 in front of them Mumbai’s luck turned sour as they once again missed the mark by 36 runs while Lucknow Super Giants add another win to their tally.

Jason Holder’s side kept MI in check with just 132 for eight off their 20 overs. MI captain Rohit Sharma top-scored with 39 from 31 balls while Tilak Varma contributed with 38 from 27, only two of the batters made it past the 20 mark as LSK limited Mumbai in a commendable manner and they lost four wickets while adding just eight runs off the last 14 deliveries of the innings.
