New Zealand defeats England to win two match test series

New Zealand found their first time in England after the 1986 and 1999 triumphs. Making this their third win from 18 Test series between the two teams. New Zealand seized a win on Day four of Test 2 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. The first Test match between the two had ended in a draw. Black Caps then went on to overpower England by eight wickets in the second test to win by 1-0.

England had resumed on 122-9 in their second inning maintaining a lead of just 37 runs after they were restricted to 76-7 on Saturday. On the first ball of the fourth day, they clinched Olly Stone’s wicket and had a target of just 38 runs in front of them. Tom Latham then led the team to a 41-2 finish in just 52 minutes of play and 10.5 overs. Black Caps now head towards the World Test Championship final against India at Southampton.
