New Zealand takes a 1-0 lead in test series against Pakistan

Kiwis take the first win of the two-match test series with Pakistan by beating them with 101 runs at the end of day 5, with the win they took second place in ICC World Test Championship points table. Day 5 for Pakistan looked dreadful right at the start who entered 71 for 3 and needed 302 more runs to win but just had seven wickets in their basket. While Kiwis made sure to put their best bowling effort forward to topple their batting lineup in 90 overs.

First, they rid themselves of Azhar Ali in 2nd over with Trent Boult dismissing him at 38. Fawad Alam but stepped up for Pakistan scoring a century in 269 balls and a fifth-wicket partnership of 165 with Mohammed Rizwan who posted a half-century himself. Kyle Jamieson but got rid of Rizwan and ended the formidable partnership, and it was all downhill for Pakistan then.
