Saudi cricket board names players for upcoming ILT20

In a historic milestone for regional cricket, six players from Saudi Arabia will compete in Season 4 of the International League T20 (ILT20). Each of the six franchises has signed one Saudi cricketer, including players like Faisal Khan and Usman Najeeb. This development is the result of a strategic partnership between the ILT20 and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF), designed to nurture local talent and expand the sport's footprint in the Kingdom.

The players were officially presented at a ceremony in Riyadh attended by SACF Chairman Prince Saud Bin Mishal Al-Saud and cricket legends like Waqar Younis. Prince Saud emphasized that this collaboration aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to turn cricket into a sustainable industry that contributes to the non-oil economy. Waqar Younis added that playing alongside international stars will offer invaluable experience for these athletes. The tournament is scheduled to run from December 2 to January 4.
