Sitanshu Kotak will be India's batting coach for the India vs. England series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named former Saurashtra batsman Sitanshu Kotak as the Indian team's batting coach following the country's poor batting performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25. The forthcoming limited-overs series against England on home grounds will mark the beginning of Kotak's campaign. A well-known figure in Indian cricket, Sitanshu Kotak, has started a new chapter in his remarkable career. Born in Rajkot, India, on October 19, 1972, the former Saurashtra cricket player was named the Indian national team's batting coach on January 16, 2025. As the squad prepares for its white-ball series against England, this appointment comes at a crucial time.

Kotak had a smooth transition into coaching after retirement, playing a number of important positions. He oversaw the Saurashtra team's victory in the 2020 Ranji Trophy Final while serving as its head coach.
