Sydney Sixers move to BBL finals to face Scorchers

The last ball shakeup saw Sydney Sixers move to Big Bash League finals to face Perth Scorchers after they beat Adelaide Strikers with four wickets. The controversial loss would not be forgotten by Strikers anytime soon as they missed the chance to seal a berth in final.

Sixers exploited the rules in their favor after they found a loophole and subbed out an injured Jordan Silk for the final ball. Sixers needed two more runs to win the match in the last ball of the match to beat Strikers’ 4-167 score. Sixers retired Silk and subbed in assistant coach Jay Lenton to the non-striker’s end instead. Kerr gave the match a different momentum with his unbeaten 98 from 58 balls and helped the side advance to the finals.
