Virus outbreak amongst team England could delay the historic first Test in PAK

A virus has spread through England's teammates which could turn into a delay in their first Test match in Pakistan for 17 years. The delay could last till 24 hours. Around 14 members of the touring party are hit by the illness, including captain Ben Stokes, foreshadow the highly-coveted match in Rawalpindi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board stated on Wednesday that it was thinking of the next steps with the England and Wales Cricket Board. A final decision is due to be made on Thursday morning – the first scheduled day of the Test match.

England stated online that “We are in discussions with the PCB regarding the start of the first Test due to a viral infection within our camp.” All of the team will be supervised continuously overnight, but a conclusion is not expected until the morning.
