Warwickshire have strengthened their squad by signing India’s latest Test debutant, Manav Suthar, for the next two rounds of the County Championship. The left‑arm spinner will feature against Yorkshire in Scarborough from June 12 and then face Somerset in Taunton the following week. His arrival comes just days after an impressive Test debut against Afghanistan in Mullanpur, where he struck immediately with a wicket in his first over and finished with six in the innings, adding another in the second for a seven‑wicket match haul.
Suthar earned his national call‑up through consistent domestic success with Rajasthan, taking 129 wickets in 29 First‑Class matches. Warwickshire Performance Director James Thomas praised the signing, noting the fresh dimension Suthar brings to an already strong red‑ball campaign.
Suthar expressed excitement about contributing to a side pushing for the title. Warwickshire currently sit fourth in Division One, with two wins and two draws from six games.
