Zimbabwe will travel to Sri Lanka on 3 January, with a three-match One-Day International series beginning on 6 January. This will be followed by a three-match T20I series between the 14th and 18th of January.
It would be their first bilateral visit to the island country since 2022. The Chevrons have shown good form against the Lions in recent years, including a stunning 3-2 ODI series win during their tour of Sri Lanka in 2017. Sri Lanka will attempt to pick up the pieces following a poor ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign in which they failed to qualify for the knockout stage and ended second-last. Zimbabwe, on the other side, will be trying to rebound following a spate of poor outcomes. They did not qualify for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 after failing to finish in the top two in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier.
