The son of renowned striker and former Newcastle United player Patrick Kluivert, the 24-year-old winger joins Bournemouth on a long-term deal. According to Neill Blake, chief executive of AFC Bournemouth, Justin is a talented and adaptable offensive player with a good eye for goal. He has a quick, direct style and a high level of technical proficiency. After two seasons at Rome between 2018 and 2020, during which he scored nine goals and provided 10 assists for the Italian team, Kluivert joins the Cherries.
He has spent the previous three seasons on loan, first with Nice in France, then with RB Leipzig in Germany, and most recently with Valencia in Spain. If he plays for Bournemouth this season, Kluivert will join Florin Raducioiu, Christian Poulsen, and Stevan Jovetic as the only other four players in history to have played in all five of Europe's major divisions.
