The 41-year-old Portuguese star picked up the injury during the match against Al-Fayha. Al-Nassr released a statement confirming the setback: "Cristiano Ronaldo sustained a knee tendon injury during the match against Al Fayha. The player has begun his rehabilitation process, and his condition will be evaluated day by day."
Ronaldo's absence comes at a crucial stage in the Saudi league as Al-Nassr enter the final phase of the season. He was already ruled out of Wednesday's match, which has since been suspended due to regional tensions. The club will now hope for a swift recovery.
Beyond club football, his injury adds a note of uncertainty to Portugal's preparations for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July.
Managed by Spaniard Roberto Martinez, the national squad had looked set to include the veteran forward, who remains 35 goals shy of the landmark 1,000-goal milestone.
