Albert Gudmundsson is ready to turn down moves from top teams

The player Gudmundsson's profile has been slowly increasing over the last 12 months or so. In January 2022, the Icelander became a member of Genoa. In his first season with the team, he was unable to stop the Grifone from being demoted to Serie B, though. Gudmundsson helped Genoa return to Serie A in the previous season.

And the former AZ Alkmaar striker has flourished back in the top division. One of the best players not affiliated with the major teams in Serie A is Gudmundsson. So far this season, the 26-year-old has tallied 10 goals and three assists. Gudmundsson has contributed much more to the squad than only goals and assists, too. The adaptability of the Icelandic player has been a major plus for Genoa. Gudmundsson is a versatile player who can play as a striker or in central midfield. Inter witnessed this directly when the 26-year-old successfully filled both duties in a recent Serie A game.
