Arsenal return to winning ways with 5-0 hammering of Palace

Arsenal returned to winning ways emphatically on Saturday, defeating toothless London rivals Crystal Palace 5-0 to move up to third place in the Premier League. Substitute Gabriel Martinelli cemented Arsenal's dominance and added more numbers to the scoreline with two nearly similar goals in stoppage time. Mikel Arteta's team took control in the first half thanks to Gabriel's headed goal from a corner and a Dean Henderson own goal, both of which were primarily Gabriel's work. With Palace looking lackluster, Leandro Trossard extended the advantage just short of the hour.

Arsenal's victory completed a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions, bringing them equal on 43 points with Aston Villa and champions Manchester City. Arsenal has a better goal difference than Villa, but not as good as City. While Palace stays 14th on the table.
