Athletic Club agreed to terms on the signing of Alvaro Djalo

The most recent rumors out of Spain are that Athletic and Braga have agreed to terms on the signing of Alvaro Djalo, a winger for Braga. The 24-year-old, who is of Equato-Guinean descent, was raised in the Basque Country and now calls Bilbao home. He was born in Madrid. With 14 goals and 3 assists in 37 games this season, he has been in excellent form for Braga. The purchase will finalize for €15 million with an additional €5 million in variables, according to Diario AS.

After Yuri Berchiche and Inigo Martinez, the deal will make him the third most costly signing in Athletic history. The addition of Djalo will undoubtedly give rise to more speculation that Nico Williams may leave the team this summer or next. Williams only signed a contract extension a few months ago, but Los Leones have seen emerging talents sign contracts like this several times before an exit is negotiated.
