Bayern looks strong at the top of the Bundesliga table with Thomas Muller’s 428th league appearance that surpassed Gerd Muller’s record of most appearances for the German club for any outfield player.
Muller notched the first goal of the match as well after taking advantage of a clumsy backpass from Bochum defender Saidy Janko to score his fourth league goal of the season. Later in the 64th minute Bayern substitute, Kingsley Coman improved the lead to 2-0 which was soon 3-0 when Serge Gnabry converted the penalty after being fouled by hapless Janko. The win puts back Bayern at the top of the table with one point lead over Union Berlin, after they ended Leipzig's 18-game unbeaten streak across the competition and gave a tough fight to the defending champions.
