Bayern Munich are unlikely to re-sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee

Zirkzee has undoubtedly emerged as one of the standout performers of the current Serie A season. The 22-year-old former striker for Bayern Munich has emerged as a star for a Bologna squad that is vying for Champions League football for the first time ever. Zirkzee has now tallied eleven goals. And he has helped three more people.

The Dutchman is a player who can hold up the ball and find teammates to play with because of his unique blend of technical skill, height, and speed. It follows that the emergence of transfer interest in Zirkzee is unsurprising. Bayern would be the most sensible choice for Zirkzee among the best teams in Europe. The 22-year-old striker is subject to a €40 million buyback clause from the Bavarians. But according to the Gazzetta, Bayern are content with the striker alternatives they currently have in their lineup and are unlikely to bring Zirkzee back.
