Benfica defeats Club Brugge 2-0 in the Champions League match

Benfica also advanced closer to the quarterfinals of the Champions League after defeating Club Brugge 2-0 in the first leg of their last-16 match in Belgium.

After the win, Benfica coach Roger Schmidt also looked optimistic and commented, ”When you play the first leg away from home in a Champions League tie and win it is always a good first step. We are halfway there.”
