Bernardo Silva poised for summer exit as Manchester City era nears its end

Bernardo Silva looks set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, with his contract expiring on 30 June and no talks underway for a renewal. His departure would mark another step in the gradual dismantling of Pep Guardiola’s iconic side, following the exits of Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Sergio Agüero, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne. According to Marca, the 31‑year‑old will walk away as a free agent after nine years in Manchester.

Despite entering the final stretch of his deal, Silva has remained a trusted figure for Guardiola, contributing two goals and five assists across 38 appearances. The upcoming Champions League tie against Real Madrid may be among his last major outings in sky blue. Signed from Monaco in 2017 for €50 million, he evolved into one of City’s most adaptable players, collecting 18 trophies. Now, he approaches the closing chapter of a remarkable spell.
