Milan’s form crashes to alarming new lows

AC Milan’s season has veered into dangerous territory after another damaging defeat, this time a 3–2 loss to Atalanta that leaves their Champions League position under serious threat. The optimism generated by their recent derby triumph has evaporated, replaced by a dramatic slump that has turned Milan into one of Serie A’s poorest sides over the past two months. The numbers are stark: only seven points collected from the last eight league matches, a return comparable to relegation‑battling teams. In this period, only Verona, Pisa and Lecce have performed worse, while Milan now find themselves statistically aligned with struggling Cagliari and Cremonese.

Meanwhile, Italy’s top contenders have surged. Inter and Juventus amassed eighteen points each, with Roma close behind on sixteen, widening the gap at a critical stage of the season. Inside the club, concerns are mounting. If the decline continues, even European qualification could slip away.
