Bologna drew 1-1 against Genoa

After a disheartening loss to Udinese the last time out, Bologna entered the game looking to bounce back. However, things didn't seem good after 20 minutes when Albert Gudmundsson gave the visitors the lead with a free kick that eluded everyone and went into the net. The score stayed 1-0 at the break. However, the home team increased their pressure in the second half, but Genoa's strong defence kept Bologna at bay.

When Riccardo Calafiori headed home a free kick from Alexis Saelemaekers in the 76th minute, Bologna felt it had solved the code. However, the Genoa line held just enough to put him offside, and VAR confirmed the assistant referee's on-field judgement to rule out a goal. As the game was coming to an end, the visitors' resistance broke when they failed to clear a corner, allowing De Silvestri to score with ease. The hosts had pressed, forcing Josep Martinez into some incredible saves in the Genoa goal.
