Moroccan playmaker Brahim Diaz said that for him "it will be a pride to play in the colours of Morocco" and added that he is looking forward to making the Maghreb country "proud". He was speaking after his arrival at Sale airport.
He will take part in a training camp with the Atlas Lions ahead of friendly against Angola in the southern city of Agadir. The Real Madrid player said he was "very happy" to be in Morocco.
"Now I have to focus on the fact that I have a game on Friday and give my best for the Moroccan people, who have always given me their love and affection," he told reporters.
Brahim Diaz was called up last week by Morocco coach Walid Regragui to the 24-man squad for the friendlies against Angola on 22 March and Mauritania on 26 March ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
