The Senegal international had a lacklustre season at Vicarage Road after almost moving to Aston Villa last summer, but the deal fell through. To be fair to Sarr, he still put up respectable stats with 10 goals and 6 assists, but there was a general sense that even Sarr would readily concede that he wasn't at his best. Even though the Championship season begins in a week, there has been virtually little reported transfer interest in Sarr thus far this summer.
According to Romano, Sarr has been in communication with the French side, and discussions about perhaps bringing him to France are now happening. Romano claims that Sarr is not the only candidate the club is considering, but he is on their list and adds that talks are in progress.
