Jovic gives Milan a 3-2 victory against Frosinone

Just one minute after entering the game as a substitute, Luka Jovic's goal pulled his third-place team to within four points of second-place Juventus. In an attempt to go beyond Bologna's draw from the previous week, Milan took the lead in the 17th minute when Olivier Giroud headed in a cross from Rafael Leao at the back post. With ten minutes remaining, Jovic replaced Christian Pulisic, and he made an instant impression by shooting swiftly into the bottom corner after the ball bounced to him.

Jovic had struck four times since the year began. In another match, Bologna pulled level with fourth-place Atalanta after defeating relegation-threatened Sassuolo 4-2 thanks to two late goals. After a goalless draw against Udinese, Empoli maintained their winning streak under new manager David Nicola with a 0-0 draw against Genoa at home.
