In front of Prince Albert II and Dmitry Rybolovlev, AS Monaco only managed a draw at the Stade Louis II despite controlling significant sections of their match against Le Havre.
Le Havre promptly put pressure on ASM after registering a number of good chances and getting off to a fast start. Next, it was the turn of Les Monegasques, with Ben Seghir and Maghnes Akliouche attempting to make some shots. Monaco controlled the opening part of the game, although there was no goal activity during that time. However, things heated up before the break as both teams ended the first half goalless. Later in the second half, the two teams made some respectable attempts to end the impasse and Wissam Ben Yedder of Les Rouge et Blanc scored the opening goal in the 63rd minute. Their advantage was short-lived, as Christopher Operi's free-kick leveled the score for the opposition after deflecting off Youssouf Fofana. The teams later had to settle for a dismal draw.
