Liverpool takes a 3-0 beating from Arsenal

Arsenal revived their hopes of winning the Premier League for the first time in twenty years after defeating leaders Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates. Arsenal took the lead early on and were rewarded with the first goal. After Kai Havertz was denied by Alisson Becker, Bukayo Saka scored one.

Despite being without a shot on goal in the first half, Gabriel Magalhaes' mistake allowed Liverpool to tie the score when he turned Luis Diaz's cross into his own net. After the half, the visitors returned the favor when Alisson crashed into Virgil van Dijk, who was racing out of his goal, leaving Gabriel Martinelli with an easy ball to roll into an empty net. Ibrahima Konate fouled Havertz and was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving Liverpool one man down and a huge lead to counter. Then, Leandro Trossard rushed forward and blasted past Alisson, taking advantage of the opening on the right side of the Liverpool defense.
