David Silva is calling time on his professional career. After rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, which would keep him off the pitch for many months, David has decided to hang up his boots at the age of 37.
"Today is a sad day for me. Today is the moment to say goodbye to what I've dedicated my whole life to," he declared as he watched a clip on screen that compiled some of the best moments of his career, which saw him wear a number of colours. Between Eibar, Celta Vigo, Valencia, Manchester City and Real Sociedad. Not forgetting the Spanish national team, with whom he won two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup.
"Today it's my turn to say goodbye to teammates who are like family to me. I will miss you all very much.
