Manchester City plots a late move for Kim Min-jae

Kim Min-jae's transfer from Bayern Munich to Manchester City could be thwarted. Even though the Napoli star is almost certain to join the Bundesliga's biggest clubs, Pep Guardiola is still looking for a new defender for the summer and may add the South Korean to his list. The Kim Min-jae pursuit keeps moving closer to "saga" area. There have been contradictory reports surrounding the South Korean's future plans, but Bayern Munich appears to be in the running to sign him in order to trigger his release clause.

Despite the South Korean's low £50 million release clause, other teams expressed interest before losing interest. Despite many attempts by Napoli to extend the defender's contract, he wants to quit the team. The early leaders were Manchester United, who reportedly enticed Kim Min-jae with a significant contract offer.
