Manchester City signs Mateo Kovacic

For the 29-year-old Mateo Kovacic, Man City paid Chelsea an initial fee of 25 million pounds (about $31.8 million), with an additional five million pounds (around $6.4 million) payable in add-ons. Since then, Kovacic has made 221 appearances for Chelsea, making six goals and 15 assists while also helping the team to UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup victories after joining the side in August 2018 from Real Madrid. He is a capable midfielder who has outstanding defence and a great ability to link the front and back fields.

A guy like Kovacic might join Rodri in the midfield at Man City after Ilkay Gundogan left for Barcelona. Furthermore, Kovacic might have an opportunity to enhance his own skills under Pep Guardiola.
