Mario Balotelli wants a return to Serie A

The 33-year-old's contract with Turkey expires on June 30; however, a further year's extension is possible. Despite having three goals in five Turkish Super Lig games to open the season, he had to have knee surgery in November.

According to Footmercato, Balotelli is prepared to leave Adana Demirspor and would prefer a transfer to Serie A in order to secure a spot in the Italy team for the 2024 European Championship. Three teams are rumoured to be considering acquiring SuperMario; Salernitana, under the direction of Pippo Inzaghi, appears to be a viable choice given Boulaye Dia's injury and availability. Another option is Udinese, who have failed to score goals this year and Florian Thauvin is drawn to returning to France. Empoli, is the third team. Francesco Caputo has been connected to a move to Spezia.
