PSG defeated Brest early in the season owing to a Mbappe brace on either side of halftime and a Warren Zaire-Emery rocket. The late triumph kept PSG in touch with other top-of-the-table teams Nice and Monaco, and they currently sit second in the league with 21 points, one point behind leaders Nice.
In the 16th minute, wonderkid Zaire-Emery, gave the visiting side the early lead with a beautiful goal into the top corner from a distance, following exquisite movement in the build-up from Bradley Barcola. In 28 minutes, Mbappe doubled the lead for the French side. Brest recovered when Steve Mounie gave some hope to the side in the 43rd minute and Brest got back on track with a Jeremy Le Douaron header in the 52nd minute to level the score. However, in the 88th minute, a rejuvenated Mbappe stepped up to secure all three points for PSG and clinch a late winner.
