Orlando City SC have acquired Colombian international striker Luis Muriel

The 32-year-old completes Orlando's designated player trio along with wingers Facundo Torres and Martín Ojeda. His deal is good until the 2026 MLS season.

Before Matchday 1, Orlando allegedly paid a $1 million transfer fee to get Muriel. This summer marked his contract's expiration with Atlanta. In 471 all-competition appearances since making his professional debut in 2009 with Colombian team Deportivo Cali, Muriel has accumulated 151g/73a. In the top division of Italy, he has scored more than 100 goals. He has also appeared in more than 50 UEFA Champions League and Europa League games. In 45 appearances for Colombia, Muriel has scored eight goals, her best performance being at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. His remarkable club career, which includes more stints in Europe with Udinese, Granada, Lecce, Sampdoria, Sevilla, and Fiorentina, matches his success on the international front.
