Paris Saint-Germain routed Montpellier 6-2

The defending champions, who are on track to win the league for a record 12 times, snapped a three-game losing run in Ligue 1 and pulled ahead of second-place Brest by 12 points.

Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Lee Kang-in also scored for PSG. Prior to tonight's match, PSG had drew three of their previous four Ligue 1 matches, and at halftime, they appeared poised to extend that streak. Following a two-goal advantage courtesy of goals from Vitinha and Mbappe—the latter of which was a masterclass on the unkempt Stade de la Mosson field—the winners conceded twice to allow Montpellier to get back into the match. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was handed a penalty for a foul, and PSG was obviously furious since they dominated the second half with a ferocious amount of dominance.
