RC Lens beat Olympique de Marseille 1-0

Despite Lens having played one more game than the other, these teams entered the match level at 13 points in the midtable, and there wasn't much separating them in the first half. When Kevin Danso rose highest to meet Adrien Thomasson's free-kick, he had an opportunity to test Pau Lopez in the OM goal, but his header went wide (18').  Marseille had an opportunity shortly after, but Ismaïla Sarr, a teammate, cannoned off Amine Harit's shot (25'). Florian Sotoca tried to get Les Sang et Or moving at the opposite end, but he sent his shot over the crossbar (38') after deftly turning to shake off two opponents.

The second half saw Marseille come out on top, with Harit (from open play) and Renan Lodi (from a corner) both flashing crosses across the face of the Lens goal that would have only required a touch to convert.
