Stark’s last-minute leveler saves Bochum 

On Sunday afternoon, SV Werder Bremen earned a crucial point with a 1-1 draw on the road against VfL Bochum 1848. After a difficult first half with few clear-cut chances, both teams cranked up the tempo and fought till the end. It was a challenging game, with several pauses in play and yellow cards interfering with the flow. 

Although Werder had greater success in 1-v-1s in the opening 45 minutes, the hosts got off to a fast start in the second, scoring on a curler from distance by Patrick Osterhage in the 64th minute. SV Werder Bremen, on the other hand, kept piling on the pressure, and in added time their efforts paid off with a last-minute equalizer by Niklas Stark in extra time. Niklas Stark blasted home from the edge of the box to give Werder a fair share of the spoils.
