Strasbourg beats struggling Nantes 3-1

Strasbourg ended an eight-game losing skid by defeating struggling Nantes 3-1, thanks to two goals from Dutch attacker Emanuel Emegha. Emegha has been one of the season's standout players, scoring seven goals in 22 games. His double helped Strasbourg to its first league victory in 2024, propelling them to 12th position, six points above the relegation zone. Kevin Gameiro scored the opener for Strasbourg after three minutes, but Eray Comert equalized from close range before halftime and then Emegha put the game out of reach for Nantes.

In another match, Nice stopped a six-match winless record with a 3-1 victory over Lens, the French league runners-up from the previous season. Nice climbed up to fourth place in Ligue 1, one point ahead of their hosts, who missed multiple chances on Saturday. Forward Terem Moffi netted twice for the visitors, and Khephren Thuram scored for Nice as well. Later Elye Wahi cut Lens's deficit with 15 minutes remaining.
