Week 1 Preview: Ebusua Dwarfs host Medeama in Cape Coast

Medeama will have to make a short trip from their base in Tarkwa to engage Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium as they seek to get their campaign to a flyer.

Ebusua Dwarfs have been the busiest amongst the two with series of friendlies and mini tournament but as to whether its enough to be a good test for Sunday's big clash remains to be seen.

The two have had great games together with the most recent ending in 1-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium but this tie promises to be different as Medeama have already set their sight on the slot available for Africa.
Samuel Boadu will be in charge of the Yellow and Mavres side yet again as he sought to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time for the club.

The dream of winning the title starts with Sunday’s super clash with Dwarfs, a game that promises to be cagey and fireworks.
Both teams have met 13 times in the premier league, Ebusua Dwarfs have won 3 with Medeama winning 4 and the rest 6 ending in draws. 24 goals scored in those games.

There have been 7 games played in Cape Coast between the two sides in the premier league with Ebusua Dwarfs winning 3 and drawing 2 with 2 ending in draws. Dwarfs have scored a total of 7 goals and conceded the same number with just 2 of the games ending with a clean sheet.
Very little to chose between these two clubs but they’ll have to put everything on the line come Sunday.

Medeama have been one of the busier sides in the ongoing transfer window, they have the services of returnees, Kwasi Donsu and Ibrahim Yaro after spells in the American USL aside the 7 new signings they announced a few days ago.
The Abontua Abontua boys will be relying on the services of their old but trusted lads with the blend of new lower division players acquired to cause an upset in the upcoming season.
