Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has suffered a left hamstring strain, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Tuesday, sidelining him indefinitely while doctors establish a timeline.
The blow is cruel for the 26-year-old, who had just returned after missing all of 2025-26 with a torn right Achilles sustained in Game 7 of the 2025 Finals against Oklahoma City. This time the opposite leg is affected.
His comeback had looked stellar, averaging 21.8 points, 9.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds across four games, including a 23-point, 12-assist debut versus New Orleans.
The issue emerged during Monday's 110-102 loss to Milwaukee, where he logged a season-high 35 minutes in a back-to-back. He was seen with a heating pad on his thigh, leaving depleted Indiana also missing McConnell, Zubac and others.
