Bull's Kevin Huerter sent-off after hitting referee with ball

Kevin Huerter was sent off during the Chicago Bulls' blowout loss to Miami on Friday night after his frustration led to a bizarre incident involving a referee. Trailing by 21 points in the third quarter, Huerter was called for a foul and reacted by swatting the ball away. The ball unfortunately ricocheted off referee Che Flores' leg. Veteran official Tony Brothers immediately issued a technical foul and sent Huerter off, leaving the player in disbelief.

After the game, Huerter apologized, clarifying that while he was frustrated by the call, he never intended to hit the official. However, Bulls coach Billy Donovan noted that Brothers upheld the expulsion after a video review, determining that Huerter’s action appeared intentional.
