Boston Celtics add one more guard to their training camp squad by signing free agent Garrison Mathews. Bostons entered in a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the player after they signed a similar deal with former Chicago Bulls guard Ryan Arcidiacono. Celtics is adding a lot more guards to the squad as the team heads to the camp.
The 24-year-old played for Washington Wizards before and played for the two-season with them appearing in 82 matches. Mathews enjoys a career average of 5.5 points and has shot 41 percent of his shots and 38.9 percent from the three-point range. With the addition of the 6-foot-5 player Celtics now have 21 players on the team which means they would have to let go of one player.
